Variety Petit Verdot

It is an old variety from Bordeaux. It ripens late, and maintains a very high acidity. Its production is very limited and it offers wines with a high concentration of tannins, well structured, intense colour and aromas giving its wines great keeping quality. In Spain it is not widely planted, but it is one of the emerging varieties.
